Wish ours would drop, it's at 3.99 today. Put diesel in my truck and it was 4.29. It's election time and Obama's forcing the price down to make himself looks good. Just read an article that the price is down in Ohio, which is a must win state if you want to be president.

Its a miracle! Only a few weeks until the presidential election and by a massive coincidence, the price of gas (which has been as high as a dude at a Grateful Dead Concert for YEARS) is suddenly dropping!

Seriously, they really must think we're stupid.

$3.19/gal here today.

Once the election is over I expect it to hit $5.

ETA, good time to fill gas cans!

Looks like others beat me to it finding this sudden drop suspicious.

He said in one of the debates that low gas prices when Bush was in office was due to a RECESSION, so I guess he's admitting things are getting worse

Well for all the conspiracy theorists-gas in central BC has dropped 0.45 a gallon, and I don't think your election really factors in. Of course we are still paying about $5/US gallon-so we have a way to go.

Saudi Arabia promised Obama several months ago it would increase production to force prices down before the election. Looks like they followed through.

Ours was 3.31 this morning, now 3.29 this afternoon. I don't care WHY it's down, I'm just glad it is.

In a matter of 25 miles there is a 50 cent difference in the price of gasohol.

Good rule is when prices are high, only fill up when you need, when prices low keep your tank topped.

I filled up at $2.999 today - it was actually $3.149 but I used a discount card for 15 cents off. Sweet, but it makes me mad that it's dropping like it is and they say it's cause there's a glut on the market. HA! Do they think we're stupid? It's an election year and we're 2 wks away from voting...DUH! Idiots!

By releasing the strategic reserves. It'll go higher than ever in mid - November no matter who wins.

I suppose the good folks at Exxon are already planning their next refinery accident to slow production and drive prices up to aid Romney. Remember correlation is not causation.

Interesting....I always thought "big oil" was chummy with the Republicans. If this is a political stunt, that would imply that they want the Democrats to stay at the helm....imagine that.

I agree, it's dropping because of market manipulation; the elections are near, so they're trying to sweeten us up.

I have to compare this to the man who stops beat his wife so she'll like him more as they approach his court date for beating her.

Women that get beat live with the guy beating them after having called the police and setting a court date...?
