Ford 2110 Tractor

I have a source that I might be able to reasonably purchased, a Ford 2110 2wd (don't remember the year)with turf tires and woods belly mower (needs minor spindle repair). They just have too much unused equipment.

I already have a Ford 4500 Backhoe, so small tractor, with maybe something to do some pasture mowing, or a rare post hole drill, or maybe a 3 point tiller.

Tractor is is good shape has newer clutch. I've always wanted a Japanese tractor.

Any thoughts on this Ford model?

I have a friend with a similar little Ford. Great tractor but when he needs a tractor to do something its always a little bit bigger tractor that he really needs. YMMV

We had several in the parks department with belly mowers, decent tractor for the money. One had a loader and it was slow, it ran off the internal pump. Not a lot of hydraulic capacity without an auxillary pump....James

I have a 1910 the smaller brother of the 2110. its a fine tractor for its size and will certainly do some mowing. mine is 26 years old and has held up well.

The 2110 is a mowing tractor - good for a 5' finish mower - too small for much more than grass with a bushhog. Geared too fast for a tiller - front end not strong enough for a loader. pretty comfortable mowing tractor tho.

I used one for mowing a cemetary for a while.

A self respecting tractor comes with a bucket loader on the front. Most useful tool on a farm or homestead.

I already have a backhoe, with a substantial loader, which means I'll need something mostly to mow pastures with. I don't know I'll even use a three point hitch, that much, really.

I'm a bit torn between this 2110 and a 69' 3000, which has a heavier 3 point hitch, but looked to be in very ratty shape (has been sitting for years) and might need a new clutch. I already have enough "old tractor" repair projects, with the backhoe.

The reason I'm in to the 2110, because I was considering, something like a Farmall A, with belly mower, which is also, really only useful for mowing, also, plus they are relatively expensive, for a 70 year old tractor.

Also, the 2110 is is pretty good shape, except of a needed repair on the woods mower.

I'm not sure I can say a price, but all the ones around here are with 4wd, and a loader, so the one you are looking at would be a lot less than a 'typical' configuration here.

Those little import machines are nice, but really need 4wd to get their power onto the ground for full pulling at their light weight.

Sounds like it's perfect for you, you're not looking for the pulling power, and can save the initial cost and upkeep of the 4wd.

I've got a NH 1720 4wd, with loader, paid 12 for it back with under 500 hours on it. Wonder if yours is about 1/2 that for a wild ballpark?
