Welcome to HT (HomesteadingToday)! Nope, you just pretty much have to figure them out on your own, lol.

DH, DW, DS, DD - dear husband, wife, son, and daughter respectively
YMMV - your mileage may vary
WWYD - what would you do?
SHTF - stuff hits the fan (no cuss words here, lol)
TEOTWAWKI - the end of the world as we know it
IRL - in real life
IDK - I don't know
IMHO - in my humble opinion

Wow, I'm blank, lol, can't think of any more right at the moment. I'm sure lots of people will come along and add more. If you have specific ones, just ask! We're pretty easy to get along with...well most anyway!

TPTB - the powers that be
LOL - laughing out loud
ROTFL - rolling on the floor laughing
KWIM - know what I mean?
SSS - shoot, shovel, shut up (usually in reference to neighborhood livestock killing dogs)

If you see one you can't figure out, just ask. Someone will answer you.

I love dumb questions, I feel qualified to reply!!!

Those above were always a mystery to me, I kinda figured them out but this is the only place that uses them of the places I visit.

I've seen people using the above for different designations tho, which just befuddles my simpel mind all over again....

IIRC = If I Recall Correctly
SMH = Shaking My Head
BTDT = Been There, Done That
TLDR = Too Long, Didn't Read
TMI = Too Much Information (used when someone has shared something REALLY personal)

At 3 a.m., I'll wake up, remembering more of them, go back to sleep, and forget them again by morning.

Well, that kind of depends on the mood of the moment, lol. Some people when exasperated mean them as dumb or that other naughty D word.

Thought of some more:
BTW - by the way
FWIW - for what it's worth
KWIM - know what I mean
MYOB - mind your own business
OTOH - on the other hand
POV - point of view
SAHM - stay at home mom
TIA - thanks in advance
HTH - hope this helps
WTG - way to go
POTD - post of the day
FTR -for the record
GMTA - great minds think alike
BOB - bug out bag
BOV - bug out vehicle
BOL - bug out location

DQ - Dairy Queen
DQ - disqualified, in reference to a livestock show or exhibition, maybe a 4-H project.
SAHD - stay at home dad, rare but they do exist.

User Names often get abbreviated, So DH could be referring to me. But only in a thread I'm on.

I often scratch my head on some of them.
