Septic tank/leach field

As I was walking across the yard yesterday I noticed that in the areas near the leach field the ground seem sunken. The leach field and septic tank are @15-10 years old. Any ideas why the ground is sinking? It isnt sinking near the septic tank just out in the leach fields, more so to the ends than the beginnings of the runs.

Thanks for you ideas

My WAG is the moisture coming out of the leach field is causing the ground under it to compact.

evil,

my parents septic system has done that and it is 30 years old or so, I think it might be pretty common. They have had no trouble with theirs.

Thanks

I've only been on this place 1 1/2 years. In my second summer here in nearly bliss. I really appreciate any ideas. I'm just hoping the system isnt needing redone. I cant afford it at all.
