What should I do ?

just in the last few weeks , I noticed my dog would bark at a ridge close-by when my wife was working on getting a tan on our back porch . .

seemed sort of odd , so the next time my wife went to sun-bathe , I took my scoped rifle and sort of looked about .. I don't have a spotting scope . . btw . .

After a while , I saw the neighbors 35 yr old son slip about , and took a big pair of binoculors out , and was doing something with his right hand while holding the binocs with the other ,,, lol , don't take a rocket scientist to figure out what he's a doing with the other hand .

I could have shot him , had the scope on him , 205 yards , didn't seem it was something to kill a man over . mad me angry , though .

so I came back in the house , thought about it , thought about it a lot , , didn't know hardly what to do , ya know ? sheesh , gonna have to do something , but what ?

He's still there , with his binocs , what should I do ? what would you do ?

Um....how is he still there, watching your wife get a tan at 4 am in North Carolina? What kind of sun do you have at 4 am in NC?

He didn't say it was happening right now. Calhoon, you must be a lucky man to have such a beautiful woman! Seriously, he probably ain't breaking any law right now just by watching someone who is outside sunbathing.

That being said, I'd have a talk with the scumbag, tell him to knock it off (don't threaten) and to never under any circumstances set foot on your property. Then I'd want to be giving the local PD a call just to get it on record in case the perv escalates and comes on your property or something and you had to take measures to protect you and yours.

I'd set by her with the binoculars and then get up and go get the rifle.....then clean it and aim it his way, like I was going to take aim..... Does the perv live with his dad? Do you talk much to his dad?

Have your wife stuff her bikini bottom with a pair of socks
to make it look like she has more than him.
That would keep me from looking.

I think the idea of coming out and cleaning it, scoping him then jumping up and yelling will work! Then oay him a visit and let him know next time you might have it loaded....

I'll grant ya it may be open to interpretation at this point. I took it to mean it's still an ongoing course of conduct, not that it was still happening at this particular moment in time.

When you are certain that he is watching, tell your wife to moon him!

Better yet, walk over to her and the two of you moon him together!

He will know that the two of you know and be embarrassed as heck!

1. Call the police, tell them about his 'pattern' of behavior, and see if they can catch him in the act.
IF they cannot catch him in the act, set up a video camera or two so that you can film him and take that to the police.

Peeping toms are not 'harmless perverts' all the time.
It is a graduated step.
He more than likely started with magazines, graduated to the internet, now has graduated to peeping tom.
The next step could be violence. Against your wife, another innocent lady, or a child...

Please, report him ASAP.
This is serious stuff.

Put up 2 or 3 sections of privancy fence so she can sun bathe behind it. I put up 200ft of privancy fence some years back to give me some privancy. Put up one piece then turn a piece on each side of that one at a 45 degree to the first one. Paint and decorate it. This will give her somewhere to lay out to block the Guys view.

I do not believe its anything illegal, Disturbing but not illegal.

I would call the police and report him. I'm sure they could catch him in the act. I sure wouldn't provoke him because if he is already doing this it could lead to something even more serious.
