A 30 year old pellet stove isn't worth much, but if everything works, you can probably get about $200 for it. Be sure to get a receipt that says it was sold "as is". Because there are a lot of really old parts in there that are expensive to replace.
I got $150 for my older (not as old as yours) working pellet stove. But someone else got to wrestle it out of the building and haul it away. It took 2 people.
The big wood stoves in good shape that look good and are HUD certified, it doesn't matter how old they are. Price is by size and condition. Look on Craigslist and see what everybody else is asking for them.
If the wood stove doesn't have a HUD or an EPA sticker, you will probably have to haul it to the dump. Or someone will buy it for their shop but not pay much because it is an illegal stove.
