Send them to me. I'll eat them.

Oh, a REAL solution:

If you have a dehydrator, cut each tomato in half AND put a slit in the skin on the back side so it can dry from both sides. Lay them in a single layer on the trays of the dehydrator. They make INCREDIBLE snacks.

NICE idea! And YES, I have a 9 tray Excalibur dehydrator.

I dehydrated mine one year when we have a gazillion. Then I ground them up to make a powder to thicken sauces and stews.

Actually, a better idea would be cut each tomato in half on the cutting board, I don't think cutting them in your hand would be so safe.

I'm not too good at math, but if you have a zillion, just think how much money you'd have selling them for $10 a million.

Thanks for the attempted assistance, but we are homesteading, not mass marketing. You may be in the wrong forum. But thanks anyways. Try Reddit.com next time. They may have more appreciation for your weak attempt at sarcasm or lame humor.

Isn't that a little harsh? You were playfully exaggerating your numbers and he gave you a playful answer back. I understand wantint serious answers, but one playful answer shouldn't ruin your day. To answer your question, maybe try to get creative with some salsa and can that.

I fixed it. Geez, multi-tasking isn't working quite as well as I thought.

I dehydrated a lot of Cherry Tomatoes, used them in salads, stews, soups, and egg dishes. It was so handy to have so many!

If you have so many, it is becoming overwhelming, they can be frozen, and you can use them later (or can them). I froze a lot of tomatoes when I had too many, then when I had time, I thawed them out, and made incredible Marinara Sauce (which I canned). I used a variety of different Tomatoes in my sauce, yummy!

Nice save, Panther. I wish I could do that sometimes.

I think cherry tomatoes have some of the best flavor. I like to saute them in butter, garlic, olive oil, onion and add basil at the end. Then over angel hair pasta. Heavenly. If I had a gad zillion, I would do that in large batches and freeze them in freezer bags.

I don't mind skin on the tomatoes that I use for bruchetta, so they are good in for that, but not in large batches. I'm just trying to give you some ideas.

Good in salsa, too.

Just so I understand fully, you would saute the baby tomatoes with the other ingredients, freeze the result and then thaw it out and use it over pasta?!? That sounds brilliant!

Please clarify if I have this wrong!

We freeze them whole, juice and can them with the romas, dehydrate them, take them to work in gallon bags, and my favorite, eat them with mozzarella balls, olives, basil and olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Next year I'm going to take the 4 y/o granddaughter to the farmer's market and let her sell them!
The chickens eat them too.

Put those little suckers in a large stock pot with a little water to start. Cook them down really good and strain the skins and seeds out. Best tomato juice ever.

How about in a crock pot? Can that juice then be frozen, or does it have to be canned?
