Composting Toilets?

Trying to talk DH into getting one (or two) due to unreliable water from our well, we are putting in a gray water system and I just see the toilet and associated water usage a huge waste.

Please post your experience, research, pros, cons, I want to be fully locked and loaded on the next conversation we have!
DS#3 will be moving out within the year, DD is 14, DS#4 is 12. So, in probably 6-7 years we will be a 2 person home. (maybe!)

I think composting toilets would be a win/win thing.

Sawdust toilet (actually a 5 gal bucket with a special lid) works beautifully for liquid waste. And it can be emptied into the garden or compost bin with no problem.
