Old Wagon Barn Plans?
If you are interested in plans for 18th and 19th century wagon barns, I found some nice ones that you can have. They are from the Historic American Buildings Survey, and they are full of ideas that can be used on today’s buildings.
Wagon barns were all purpose storage buildings usually located close to yesterday's houses. They sheltered carriages, work wagons, horses, fire wood, workshops, tools and just about anything else. They were the eighteenth and nineteenth century equals of today's garages. Some of the old designs would make pretty good all-purpose small barns for today's homesteads. And, looking at the old plans is a great way to get ideas for any new garage or small barn. In any case, if you're at all interested, take a look:

Just click on any of the titles to see photos and to print plans, elevations and construction details. I converted the HABS drawings into downloadable files that you should be able to print from your computer.
Enjoy!
