Talking Got Wasps? Here's the Chinese Solution

When I was a kid, I always told my mom I really, really needed a flamethrower. She never bought me one, even when I put it on my list for Santa. And she got very angry when she caught me making one when I was about 12.

But I'm sure if I'd shown her this video, it would have made my case.

Got wasps? Hit the tree with a flame thrower until the little buggers are gone!

Wow-that puppy is way better than my flamethrower. I got mine as a gift from my husband. I think theirs would be a bit much for me though since it is usually just me hitting the weeds. Looks like that one is a team effort.

Wow that was way cooler then my version of a flame thrower. Mine was a can of hairspray and a bic lighter! You had to get real, real, close to the wasp nest. You wouldn't believe how many times I got stung!

I like the idea, but around here most wasps live in wasp condominiums, thats located up under the eaves of something.barns, shelters, buildings and houses.

Theres no way in the world that I would own one of those contraptions.Even though I despise those evil wasp with a passion, more than any other insect.

With My will power being as weak as it is,added to my hatred of those sneaky, stinging, varmints,If I had a flame thrower, all of those eaves condo wasps would be to enticing as targets for me to pass up,and I'd burn every building to the ground, trying to get the whole shebang.

JUST KIDDING,HOW DID YOU MAKE YOURS? I'll be careful I promise Got Wasps? Here's the Chinese Solution - Homesteading Questions

Video and my phone usually don't mesh, sounds interesting though.
I use the little handheld torches to toast the tent worms, hadn't wanted to get that close to the yellow jackets.

I've NEVER seen a flamethrower with recoil like that but it has some major distance. Must be under some serious pressure but as was said, would do me no good since it requires multiple people to hold it, but I still want one....lol.

These days it's carburetor cleaner and a lighter but I have used the 20' wasp spray with a lighter. You don't get those ones flying around slightly stunned. Can't fly without wings.

Back when I worked on peoples houses, painting, whatever, I used garden hose. Wet wasps dont fly, they fall to ground where your helper stomps them. This idea of using fire around sometimes very old, very dry wood, just never seemed sensible to me. But each to their own.

I can remember my grandfather using a pump sprayer and diesel. No flame, just diesel would make the wasps instantly drop dead.
