Anyone familiar with The Small Farmer's Journal?

I just bought a stack of about 30 of them for a total of $20. I'm liking what I see thus far...

Good deal! I've had a subscription for a few years now. I'd like to see a bit more emphasis on small tractor farming but most of their info is transferable to that. The new issue has an article on raising rice in Vermont.

I knew Lynn before he moved east of the mountains. We had horse and equipment sales in Eugene for him in the 70's, early 80's. At that time he lived the journal. My Dad had draft horses way back to the 20's. How old are the journals you got?

My grandad had horses up to around 50. Dad had them till around 63 or so. Kept a team to open up the corn field on the ends and in the middles, and to list taters, and plant them, and had one to dig out the basement under the house.

They had a sales promotion a number of years ago. I sold ssubscriptions and back issues at the U.P. State Fair.
I had a couple articles printed in SFJ, years ago.I quit getting them a few years ago when they drifted into big vs small political issues. I opted to not feed the consperacy fringe groups.
