Food safe glue

I accidentally broke my grandmother's cream pitcher. It is pottery . How can I glue this safely since I would like to use it? I broke the lip off so I have that piece. TYIA!

Super glue is reported to be safe enough to use for denture repair. I think that would make it ok for use on the pitcher.

All the above may or maynot work.. You don't need food grade,,or food safe..
Any glue that hardens is fine.
The absolute fail proof glue when all else fails,, is fiberglass resin..

After you glue it and its completely dry, make sure you test how "waterproof" it is. I found with ceramics, once cracked or broke, even if glued, they would still leak. So if it's only the lip, and you don't fill above that spot, it should still be usable if it's not 100% waterproof. Good luck with your repair!

How about that glue some people used to glue meat back together and sell it to us.
It should be safe, we ate enough of it.
