Killed a copperhead in my basement

Hoping someone out there knows if those solar powered snake repellers really work. I killed a copperhead in my basement yesterday afternoon. It isn't the first snake in the house...I saw a black snake the other day down there but he left on his own and not venomous so I wasn't real concerned. The copperhead is another story. Does anyone have any experience with the solar powered repellers? Do they really work? Hate to waste my money. Thanks!

Sealing off any entrance points will help a lot more than snake repellants. If you've got snakes getting in you've also got mice (rats?) getting into the basement.

I don't want to trade. I've got a huge fishing spider in my basement but even being afraid of spiders I would much rather have her company than a copperhead.

Shudder.....I hate copperheads. We killed one right on our front porch recently. We have never seen them close to the house much less on the porch. It was raising its head and body up in an arch. It was scary.

I don't know about those gadgets. I bet they do not work. Probably just need to figure out how it got in there and put a stop to it. Good luck - stay safe.

I'm so happy that I live in an area that has no venomous snakes.

If I were you, I'd be moving.
