oh dang, i think I stopped cooking my fudge too soon again, thereby making 'toostie roll' type product. its still soft, and not yet real cool, can I re cook it and make it into a stiffer fudge? its still very yummy, long's you bring a spoon!

well, some neighbor kids showed up, so that horrible batch of ugly fudge is no longer around to embarrass me. hehe!

I could see how you might want to 'botch' it for ice cream topping! and I'm so spoiled, now that I've made this stuff with my lovely goat's milk, a hersey bar just tastes kinda waxy and blah! just wish I could make one piece at a time, geesh, I do NOT need a pan of fudge in my house! guess I'll just make it when the neighbor kids are over!

Another option is to knead some powdered sugar into it. And I 've been thinking about making some myself.

Easy no fail fudge.

One can of evaporated milk.
4 cups of sugar (recalled from memory) I'm at work and the recipe is at home.
one stick of margarine.

Cook medium heat stirring frequently with candy thermometer to med soft ball stage

Remove from heat, add:

One bag of chocolate chips
One jar of marshmallow cream
One tsp. vanilla.

Stir until smooth and Pour into a greased foil lined pan and cool.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

I cook mine just barely to the soft ball stage and the fudge is creamier. You can use any flavor chips for this and it's great, especially the chocolate mint ones!

I found this recipe years ago on a chocolate chip bag and make it every Christmas. It literally is fool proof and easy to make.

I got tired of having what we kids used to call "Spoon Fudge" from our Mom's failed attempts at making fudge when we were growing up back in the stone age.

Man those are good memories.
