When I bought this five acres in 1976 there had been a house trailer here that had burned down.
So, I had a well pit.
It was six foot by six foot and needed a new cover.
I built an A Frame shed on it one afternoon and it is still there doing fine.
I used 24 inch tall side walls then in the center of the rear wall I framed a small window and put a board up the center at 92 1/2 " off the floor.
Front wall I did the same thing with a door framed opening then a 2X4 on edge was the ridge.
For the roof framing I took 8' studs and cut the top angle and the bird's mouth for it to set on the short wall leaving short rafter tails.
I sheathed it with OSB and right now it needs it's 5th paint job.
The only way I have changed it was because it was setting too close to the soil so AFTER I built the shed I picked it up with a lot of levering and blocking I raised it to have room to lay another row of cement blocks then I lowered the shed back down.
It is so nice especially in the Winter here when I need to service the pump.
I just go inside the shed, open the trap door and go down the ladder.
It is all very protected from the weather.
