Hello everyone! I live in North Central West Virginia. I was wondering if there is anyone around my area that could be a mentor of sorts and show me the rope's of some homesteading techniques and be willing to answer questions and so on. Thank see everyone!

PM me if you don't get some takers, we are off grid, but I'll help anyway I can.

Whereabouts in north central? I'm south of Buckhannon... I fairly new to this myself (about 3 years) but I'll help if I can.

I don't have internet at home and only get on line when I come to town... but if you PM me I'll get back to you as soon as I get the message.

Tim

You're east of I79 then. I'm west of I79 and south of you. Rick is farther away from you than me. Honesteadforty is the closest so far.

We live in Montrose, which is near Elkins. If you know the backroads, we are only 13 miles from Belington. I'd love to chat more, but I'm running off to work

We are intensely homesteading 3 of our 6 acres. The other 3 acres are timber. We do have 25 acres of rented pasture, and we are trying to buy a 50 acre farm. Hopefully, we can sell our current home & 6 acres before the start of summer. You can check out the thread in the real estate section by clicking on the link.

We bought this place in 2007 as a way to learn homesteading and farming small scale. Hopefully, we're ready for the "Big Time".

Are you busy Saturday (day before Easter)? Give me a call at 304-516-1872 if you want the grand tour

P.S. Love your signature quote!
