What time is it?

Seems like a small issue but it has been annoying me a little bit- my computer says it is 628pm ( I am EST) but the forum times are an hour earlier. Why is this so?

Mine says GMT-5. It says it is 7:58, and it is. Here in Texas anyway.

Mine says GMT-7 and is right. You can change it to make it right. Go to User CP, top left underWhat time is it? Left click, go down to Edit Options, left click. Go down list to Date and Time Options, left click. Left click on the down arrow on the time zone bar and change to your time zone. Also check next bar, needs to say Automatically Detect DST Settings. Good to go....James

It could be time to sort out what time zone yer in.... and whether or not your local area went on daylight savings time.

I have an alarm clock that shines the time across the room or ceiling ( so I can see it without my glasses). Somehow, when we went on Day Light Savings time, I wasn't able to change the time to the correct one. The clock won't let me. I"m sure I've seleced some setting somewhere that has done this. So now, I wake up - look at the wall and subtracting an hour before I start groaning.

Since I've retired I don't give a rat's backside what time it is. It's a wonderful feeling. But yes, you can change the time to your locale. User CP (control panel).
