Help me brainstorm what to do with these
The place I work gets supplies in these cube shaped pallets. They are like a regular pallet, 32 inches by 48 inches (est), with a 2X4 lumber framework forming the cube. The framework is reenforced with triangular pieces of OSB on the corners. There is a couple of 1X4 braces on the top. It is really nice pine lumber, (for pallet lumber anyway). I can get 2 of them in my pickup every day and should be able to do so for the foreseeable future.
One Idea is to cover them with clear poly and use for mini greenhouses and nailing a bunch together for early season hoop houses.
It would be pretty easy to slap some sides and a roof on to make small animal shelters. Any other ideas?

Stack them on top of each other, and use them for storage shelves in one of your buildings.

I get something similar at work, and will be using them for planting potatoes.

Not a bad idea. I would probably elevate them and toe nail them to the wall purlins? (not sure what they are called) in my pole barn. I could stash all kinds of crap in them

It sounds like they would make some decent cold frames, if you happen to need cold frames in your area. (oh, yeah, Minnesota, I guess so.)

That's probably what I meant when I said "mini greenhouses" LOL.

Put them up on craigslist and renew the ad every time you sell one.

If I get to the point that I can't think of anything to do with them I'll tear them down for the lumber.

Small animal pens for sure. But there is so much you can do with them. The lumber maybe of better use to you by breaking them down as it could be put to use in any size structure then. I just got 3 pallets with 3/8 ply wood on top. I took the ply off it will be the roof of my new pigeon pen for fantails.

Well tinknal my old buddy, I think you need to finish them, and make dog houses out of them. Put some fancy wallpaper on the inside, maybe wall to wall carpet. maybe a small front porch, a window. Who knows you may have the next big thing, or maybe you wont sell a one. I have no idea what sells and what doesn`t, but you just may be the talk at the local coffee shop for a few days. > Best always , Marc

Resell them, that's what they do around here. The bad ones get made into mulch and the good ones get resold as pallets.

Noodling around in my head today at work I come up with a plan where I can make 20 of them into a small greenhouse. I'm also scavenging large heavy duty plastic bags...lol.

i used pallet lumber several years ago to frame in a woodshed and it worked really well..i put a board on the bottom (had to use screws cause the lumber was hard oak)..and then screwed the 7' long pallets upright side by side with a board on t he top ..all the way around and split it in the center with a door between..and put some as ceiling joists as well..the walls were then covered with T 1 11 siding and a double door made out of same, the roof was built with 2x6 rafters and shingled..and a salvaged door was put in opposite end..i totally love this little shed.
if you were to stack two 4' you would have 8'..which is wall height..and the framework could give you inside storage for a shed, chicken coop, whatever..
also they might be good frames for raised beds?? don't know but be creative..
can see my shed on my blog by the apple tree n of the house

There are some YouTube videos that share some great ideas on recycling pallets. Someone made some pretty cool furniture with them and someone built a house with one for temperate regions.

There are only so many things that can be done with a ready made cube shape 33 x 48. On the other hand with the dismantled lumber the ideas and possibilities are endless. Many years ago we had pretty much limitless access to pallets and made everything from fences to buildings to outdoor furniture from them.
