Homestead Pictures Thread..
My wife and I are just starting to build our homestead this year. We would really love to see pictures of everyone else's homesteads, or homesteads in progress. Pictures are always such an inspiration to us. It also seems that there's such a wide array of knowledgeable and great people on here, I'm really curious to see everyone's personal labors of love. Here's a couple photos of our land that we're going to be starting out on. Please share a few pictures here and inspire us all!

Wow. I love our little homestead, but your place is picturesque. I can imagine the peace and joy you feel when you look out over your land...

You wanted pictures so here you go!! I love looking at people's homestead pictures too so here's a bunch for you.
This is my woods:
My horses running up my driveway through the pastures:
More of my woods:
My horses running into the barn. This isn't the best picture but its what I've got on photobucket for now.
Chicken coop and yard:
My driveway up from the pastures and the gates to my house and barnyard area:
Chickens walking up the driveway to the barnyard:
Part of last year's garden:

I took some pictures during the summer because I knew they'd be something that during the winter would keep me warm. So here's a few peeks at my place.
This is a view of the woods off the deck in the early morning.
This is a closeup of one of the hollyhocks. They've been self-sowing for the entire time we've lived here, 29 years. The former owners say they were here when they moved here in the 50s.
Some flowers around an old maple tree with the milk house and the barn in the background.
My clothesline. I know, kinda weird; but I do some of my best thinking out there while hanging out wash.
This is an old table and chairs I put outside under the lilac bush, just so I could have a nice view out my laundryroom window. I rode one of the horses down in the woods to pick some black eyed susans, and put them on the table.
My mare's third colt at four months old. She's had four now.
Best view in the world: Looking through the ears of my Friesian gelding while riding in the woods.
Fall sunset across the fields. Only thing left in the garden is the Swiss Chard.
Weird shadow on the barn from an old maple tree. I love my old barn! The little chicken house is beside it.
But this one looks a lot more like today. *sigh*

Spring flowers, can't wait until they are back.
A square foot garden bed, we experimented with a couple of these last year.
Hens on patrol.
Turkey poult getting ready to get a boot.
2011 bull calf in a weird growth spurt where his hindquarters outgrew the rest of him.
World's prettiest barn cat. Doesn't even have a name, I'm so ashamed.
An old tractor with some new paint.
Siesta on a summer afternoon.
