Bill, there's a place in NY state tha has quite a few different varieties and maturities. They shipped a 50 lb. bag to me in AK. Can't remember the whole name offhand, but the first word is Green and they are upstate. Decent folks, follow up on shipments and were honest with me...

This company sells a good variety of OP corn in 50lb bags with reasonable shipping rates. The also send out a catalog each year. The actual seed store cannot be contacted by phone or email because they are either Amish or Mennonite and don't have telephones or computers so that is why they have an answering service. I have always had very good experiences in dealing with them.

FarmBoyBill,
They must have changed it quite recently because those numbers are from the 2012 catalog which I just recently received. But here are the varieties they list this year.
Boone County White
Henry Moore
Hickory King White
Hickory King Yellow
Lancaster Sure Crop
Pencil Cob
Eureka Ensilage
Reid's Yellow Dent
Silver King
Silver Mine
Truckers Favorite White
Truckers Favorite Yellow
They also have some other varieties considered ornamental at higher prices.
I grow Leaming corn.

The place I found it for $40 a bu, would be $10 a bu cheaper, BUT SO MUCH CLOSER> I just got a kinda bad feelin bout them, AND I aint even called them. Till now. Ill get back with what I find on that. Just called. Got a recording.

Sells OP seed corn. I've never bought corn from him but he has been known for a long time and has a good reputation as a supplier. I know he sells the following varieties.
Reid's Yellow Dent
Krug
Henry Moore

Well, Im in Okla, and I found that shipping a 50lb bag from the next state over is $22. Id hate to see what it would be from Maine.

I'm still happy with Shumway's Reid Dent corn. It's good stuff, even grew great when we got it in very late last year. 10-12" ears, fully filled out.
The deer and coons loved it, too.

When I had corn shipped from Green Haven, had 'em send it Parcel Post. Theirs is not treated. Unless the regs have changed last couple years, can ship 50 lbs. that way; Slow but cheaper.
