Okla get together. Anyone got any ideas for time?

Its the end of Feb and the starting of March. Im just checking to see if there was any more interest, and/or continued interest, and if anybody has/had firmed up a date that seemed suitable as yet.

Would you let a Hoosier into the party? I have a dear friend in NE OK and my only brother near Lake Texoma. They might be due a visit...

And I would love to meet all of you out there and see how you put together a gathering.

Any date works for me, but I prefer not on a Monday as that is the day I get my massage. Love Mondays!

One of the great things about being retired is flexibility of scheduling.

FBB it looks like you should just pick a date and see how it works for those that are interested.

I can tell you that by the 2nd week in June, its gonna be hot aswell here. Its supposed to be hotter this year than last. It was hot from June on into Sept last year.

I guess it could be the first weekend. We could ALL go to the sale.

How about some time in May? I should have everything planted and going strong enough to survive without being tended for a few days. The weather won't be as hot. Just not the weekend of the 6th and 7th as that is the Bakers's Creek Seeds spring festival.

What do you mean this year is supposed to be hotter than last year?!!!!

Please take those hot words back. I cannot grow things in that kind of heat and I'm gonna need all the food I can raise this year. Also, I kind of had the "meet at the sale ideal too". But I figured we'd probably all spread out and wouldn't do much visiting.

I guess any weekend in May would be nice, except the weekend that is around the 20th as that would be when I would be celebrating my daughters birthday.

May 6th and 7th would be a great weekend for me. Previously I was having to reserve that weekend for my wife's birthday, but since we are no longer together, that weekend is now free for me. But, I'm still game on the next weekend too, which is mothers day weekend. I have no living mother, and do to the seperation of I and my wife, I no longer have to spend mothers day at my In-laws either. So, two great weekends to choose from in my opinion.

I forgot about Mothers day...and I have to assume that some other folks actually like their Mothers. How about the 19th and 20th?

FBB...are you located on a paved road or a gravel road? I don't ride my bike on gravel. Any place to ride a 4 wheeler? I may just bring my van and sleep in it rather than riding my motorcycle. How about dogs? If I bring a kennel with me, would it be ok for me to bring them? I wouldn't ask, but getting someone reliable to watch them has proved impossible in the past.
