Sap is running here in Western MA and the tappers are out. I figure this is about a month earlier than normal too. I noticed yesterday our quince bush is starting to break bud. In the middle of February. Unheard of, indeed.

could be, there are other signs, however, I doubt it..

We had 3 " of snow..this week and have another 3 to 4 " coming in overnight and there is snow 4 or 5 out of 7 days in the 7 day forcast..ahead this week.

We haven't had any winter. Only a frost or two, no freezes at all.

I sure hope spring is early---we really have not had much winter & guess that is what makes it hard to not want to play in the dirt-
i am gonna trim fruit trees this week-end & clean out a fence row--

Bluets and daffodils in full bloom here, elm trees budding and my apple tree has new leaves on it. Bullfrogs and peepers have been singing for over a week now.

Yeah...Spring has sprung way to early!
