Junk Metal questions.

Yesterday I was loading up some junk metal, trying to get a load to take to the recycle station. In the junk pile is two vehicle rear ends with the leaf springs still on. Some people around here make fish gig heads out of heavy duty truck springs because of the quality and thickness of the metal. These aren't very thick, nor very wide since they come from what looks like 1960 - 70 car rear ends. Would they be good for making knives?

Also, I've dug out what looks like most of the metal remains of an old wagon frame from the old western days. Think there would be any buyers who might be interested in refurbishing it? I can't even figure out how it all goes together.

Car spring steel makes excellent knives.
Gunna take some heating and beating to get where you want to be, though.

And as far as the old wagon gear, you will get more for junk for it than you will from someone wanting to refurbish it. But then again , if it would be a rare brand of one, that may be differant. > Thanks Marc
