Ideas for land use

hi every one i here from Louisiana Cajun country my land was a rice field it is or poor it want grow anything but weeds,chickens, misquitos and fire aunts. I have a garden that i bought healthy soil to plant some . i have 2.80 acres i know it isnot a farm or a ranch but it belongs to me no banks involved. what can i do to fix my land
