Sand pump?

Real estate listing I was looking at said "sand pump for water". I'm thinking it is a driven well with a sand point on it. Is there anything else it might be?

I would guess you hit the nail on the head. I don't think they knew what to call it. Dad and grandpa would drive these in the bottom by the river and we would pump fresh water from them when working in the field. Had to prime them from time to time. Worked well. Must be in low land, to have sand point or driven deep.

I was wondering if it might be low land. Listing didn't say. Off grid so very likely a hand pump on it.

Yes, I would guess that it will be low as I stated and definitely a hand pump.
