New Flashlight.....Coleman Max !

..............My old maglite is wornout and the push button is defective , besides I'm been wanting one of the newer , brighter models ! So , I found a Coleman Max lite which is 134 Lumens , uses 6-AA batteries and you can spot a Zit on a GNAT's A__ at 100 yds with this model , lol ! Very bright and the bulb is a lifetime model so at 65 it will outlast me ! , fordy

.................Yep , cost me $24 + tax at Wally World and comes with 6 new Duracell batteries ! I probably should reduce that distance factor to 90 yards for accuracy and some Gnat's are bigger than others , lol ! , fordy

Sounds good is it heavy duty enough to use as a night stick?

.....................NO ! It's Plastic , so hang on to your Maglite for self protection . But , you can't believe how much light it produces , and it's really nice not having to tote all those D cells around . This particular light would really be ideal for camping in the boonies .
.....................I should also add , this lite is very light(weight wise) meaning that an older person or anyone with limited grip strength can carry it around with them IF their power goes out . The main beam is so bright it is easily effective probably out to a hundred feet , or more . , fordy

I heartily recommend the Coleman MAX Headlamp. They are bright, they have variable power settings from bright enough to read a book to bright enough to follow a blood trail. They turn the night into day and allow you to work hands free in the dark. On the low power setting, 3 AAA batteries will last 40 to 60 continuous hours.

If you are wanting bright and maglite tough, try out the newer LED maglites. I purchased a 3-D cell two years ago and I love it. VERY bright, focusable and sturdy enought to whack something atop the head if needed. Not sure what the lumens are but I have used it for coon hunting and never felt that I didn't have enough light to see a coon. Plus the batteries were purchased with the light and are still as bright as when I bought it. It also came with a 2-AA cell mini-mag that sees a lot of duty as well.
