Walmart bulk foods!
My local Walmart has put in a line of dried food - Augason Farms. There are large packs of all sorts of things. Dried fruits, wheat, rice, baking stuff, dried vegetables, even dried honey!! Has anyone used this line? I picked up a 3 lb container of pancake mix to try. There are five gallon buckets of the grains and cans like the large coffee cans of the others. There are even gluten free mixes. The can says 10 yr lifespan for unopened and 1 yr if opened.

I'll have to check out our local WalMart and see if they are carrying them.

Our walmart sells that brand in 5 gallon buckets that hold so many meals, soups and veggies and pancake mixes. They were surprisingly cheap, so we added several to our hoard. Haven't tried them. Ours say 15 yr, I guess we'll break into them in 2025 or so.

No surprise, since you don't live in the PNW. It's very regional.

That's cool! I wish they would get those products here in Canada. Im finding it difficult to find certain things, esp dried beans at a decent price.

Yes we have them here. Who is going to be the first brave one to try some?

I wish ours had them. They don't have much in the way of bulk items, so I end up at the Mennonite stores a lot. That means a much longer drive, too.

They have it in stores in the south and along the eastern coast. Also, I think you can order it through walmart.com and have it shipped to your store.

There is a place in Winnipeg, DLynn, that I order from. You have to pick it up in MB, but I think they ship to the other provinces. Their prices are pretty good, too -- WH Escott.

Since they are at Walmart, I'd wonder about the country of origin...

I'm in the PNW and we have that at our local Walmart. I've bought quite a bit of it. Cheaper to get my hard white wheat that way than buying from Azure, plus it is already packaged for 30 year storage.
The Vegie "meat" is decently priced and tastes pretty good too. Haven't opened any of the fruit I've gotten, that has all gone into LTS despite my kids begging.

Augason Farms/Blue Chip Group has been based in Utah for nearly 40 years. And since they produce their products there I don't think they are importing anything.

Sounds good unless any of it comes from China. Just read an article on China's landfill raised beef. I wouldn't eat anything imported from that filthy country.

Can't find it on Walmart.com? Hope they do have it here!
Eeek! The bulk foods, not the beef!
