New to site
I'm new to this site and cant get enough! Haven't made it through very many threads and have learned a lot a laughed a lot too. We moved back into town from 3.5 acres thinking it would be better for the kids school wise and 6 years later cant wait to move back out and raise our own food again! Good to see there is a lot of people like me out there.

welcome!

i grew up on a tiny acreage and moved to the cities when a young woman, to try it out. ugh, spent the next coupla years trying to get OUT. so i know what you are saying!

city living is more convient, and i think it can be cheaper but the stress and just plain 'itchy' feeling to get out was overwhelming. now we're on 16 acres with goats, chickens, horses and other things on occasion. its so much better!

Welcome! Hope you can get back to the country soon.

We have lived in the city, the suburbs and the country. No contest, never moving back inside city limits again, unless the kid has to put us in a nursing home someday.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, looking forward to many hours of reading. Nehimama we are from North East Oklahoma and plan on staying somewhere in this part of the country.
