Mason jar pour spout
This was posted in the Preserving Harvest section and I thought I'd post it here so more folks could see it. I signed up for 2 lids, but it will take many more folks signing up for her to actually produce them.
Pour spout lids for mason jars- so cool!

I hope she gets enough backers to fund this project because I could really use a few of these!

I'd order several of them. I'm sure they'd be a big seller.

My dad cuts the spout lid off a salt container and screws it on with a regular band for dry stuff.
That would make milk pouring a lot easier though!

I just pledged $20.00. This will be great for pouring milk from half gallon jars. Thanks for sharing!

I pledged $40, I would love a bunch of these lids!
I think they won't fit the half-gallon jars, though, she says they are standard Mason jar lids. I posted a comment asking if she plans to make them in wide-mouth too, those would be more versatile IMO.

These look great! I am supporting this. Also told her that a wide mouth option would be very useful.

Woohoo! Hopefully this will take off. (No, I don't know this lady, all I can think about is how nice they would be for milk and salsa! Am tired of having to go behind kids and wipe salsa off the rings of my jar 50 times a day!)
Inventor says she will do wide mouth after this gets funded, I think she should switch it now for wider appeal, but I don't know what that would cost at this stage of the game. Will link some other pour spouts for mason jars later, but I like this lady's idea a lot better.
I blame my typos on my DROID 2 and Tapatalk!

FYI! The lid from a Parmesan cheese container fits a regular mason jar. Gives you the spoon or sift option.

I just pledged $10 for two. I'm so glad you posted this because I know someone who is trying to get a project off the ground and needs money.

This project has been fully funded plus some -- she raised over $16,000.00. with over 800 pledging. The inventor expects the first run to be ready to ship in January 2012 -- faster than I thought they would be.
AND when this one is up and running she promises to do the wide mouth with a handle.

My half-gallon jars use the same standard lids as any other size Mason/Ball/etc. jars.
