Anyone near Akron, OH

Hi there, anyone on here near Akron, OH? I may have to start going out there 1 week or so a month and was wondering if any fellow homesteaders live around there. Also might be looking for a room to rent that's not in town. Well, I don't know much about the town, but I'd much rather not be in one.

I am about 1 1/2-2 hours south of Akron. I would not e much help as far as a room.

But it may be a great excuse for an "HT Get-Together" when you are here. We have had a couple at a restuarant that is not too far rom Lehman's Hardware.

That would be about an hour drive (I am guessing) from Akron. Others on here could give a more accurate estimate.

That sounds like fun. Not sure if it's going to happen yet, but sure looking like it. I did find a very affordable room to rent, though for some reason I"d feel safer in an HT'ers place :-)

I am about an hour and a half north of Akron. With 6 kiddos we are already cramped for space so I am not much help with that either.

Which part of Akron? There are several HT'ers around Canton, so that might be of help to you. Perhaps you should post in Countryside Families as well as here.

I"m not sure yet which part of Akron, probably in the down town area?

We are approx. 1.5 hr. South East of Akron on the WV, OH, PA borders. Hope you have an enjoyable time there, I have found some neat places to shop there, and use the Akron/Canton airport more frequently than the Pittsburgh. Good luck!

-I'm maybe about 45 minutes South of Akron, just below Canton, but our second bedroom is loaded for storage right now. Hope you can find something....

I'm just west of Akron, in Copley. I can't help with a room either-we are tripping over each other as it is in this little house.
But I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about Akron (been here all of my 55 years).
Where about is the room you found to rent?

Martha

Thanks for all the replies. I'm not even sure if I'm going to be going out there or not, just lining stuff up in case. Well I wouldn't be going to Akron after all. Somewhere in between Akron and Cleveland.

I don't have a room or anything else lined up yet.

Where is it you are going to? Or what is it you are going to? Maybe we can help you out a little more if we had a little more info.

It's for a job I may or may not get, I had to sign an NDA and I don't even know the city yet. All I know is it's in between Akron and Cleveland.
