Question about convection wall oven...

OK, so we're just about ready to install a Thermador single wall oven. I have looked for manuals online for this particular model and they are not available.

And it's not actually going in a wall -- rather, we built a cabinet unit for it. We've left room for venting on the sides, but at the back of the oven there is the remains of a 4inch exhaust pipe. We hooked the oven up to electricity to test the oven, and we notice that air is exhausted from there, but it is cold air. Does this draw air from around the oven to keep the walls cool? We had thought that maybe it was an intake vent for when it is in the convection mode.

Can someone who has installed convection wall ovens tell me how this works and where we should vent the vent?

Red face

Don't quite understand what is going on there. If you haven't installed the oven yet, how can a 4" hole remain? If you built the cabinet for the stove then the vent hole should be a known feature. Not sniping, just don't understand you. Mike
