Smile Homesteading pen-pals???

Sometimes it seems like it would be nice to write actual letters again and even more fun to receive letters.

It would only be better if you happen to be writing someone that had similar interests in homesteading, living in the country etc. to write to and compare ideas and stories. Anyone out there know of a pen-pal type group or resource for starting a connection.

Heck, even if there was a way to just have IM conversations with some people sometimes about stuff that happens out here. Anyone have any ideas???

As far as I can tell, the USPS probably won't be around much longer so I would like to use it while I have the opportunity.

I don't know of any groups right off hand but, I used to love to write letters. Then we got a telephone and gradually the letters stopped being written and received. I think the post office will be around but it will be very different.

I'm an old-fashioned letter writer myself. I'm always buying stationery. I even had my own stamps made with a picture of my dog on one set and a quilt I made on the other set. I love the idea! I do agree, you would have to have similar interest for the letters to continue.

Backwoodshome's site has a chat room, where members can go and interact. I've never used it, but there are always people using it at night.

It would be nice if HT could have a chat room. Or 400.
