Pole Barn Ball Bark Price

Looking into building a pole barn, something along the lines of Cleary, Morton, ect. 40 x 60 in size at least, won't have any concrete (right away). Any one have any figures per sq ft what it costs to build one of these?

Put up a 40x60 Morton (no concrete) about 40 years ago. Cost then was $5500. Still a very good building in good condition. Course I'm sure the price has gone up out of sight in 40 years. Your best bet is to call a sales rep and get a quote from him. Prices may vary in different areas of the country.

LOL lots of differences now. Steel or plastic? Wood or steel frame.
but a quick peek at any farm magizine will have lots of them or a peek at ebay and Craiglook will give ya a good idea.

Here's a 40x60 x 16' pole barn with 3 overhead doors for $21K at Menards, or $8.30/square foot. This is only the material price. Double that for one of the companies that put the building up for you.

A pole barn is a very good investment. Put up the biggest one you can afford. We did one ourself, 30 X 48 X 14, gravel floor. Came in at $7000 for materials including custom factory built trusses. We got a discount on the steel because DH works where they make it.

I'm building one out of plywood and dimensional lumber, 20 x 32ft. I think lumber will run about $700, roof $300, and maybe another $1,000 to stucco the walls and add some doors. It just needs to provide shelter for some cattle and chicks. Posts cemented into ground, I can get most of the lumber for 1/2 price as culls.

I'm pricing a 20x60 right now, 3 sides and roofing will bring it in around 4000-5000. The plywood and sheeting for roofing is what really adds up. I've gotta price aluminum instead of shingling it. That's w/out any labor.
