AL/GA/FL Get Together?

Would anyone be interested in getting together for a meetup/campout gathering somewhere along the Alabama/Georgia border, maybe around Columbus? That would be sorta centralized for the people from GA, AL and north FL but of course anyone else that wants to drive further is welcome (especially if they bring pie). Hopefully during the cooler weather, maybe late October/early November or in the Spring. We could meet/greet/eat and maybe have some seminars or something if anyone is interested in sharing their expertise. Ooh, maybe a field trip too to something in the area like a mill or historic farm or something. I see get togethers for other areas of the country, but not for us.

Anyone interested?

Kitty

I looked at the website for Landmark Park in Dothan AL and they are having a heritage festival the weekend of October 22. That might be a little less crowded than the Georgia National Fair...

Why don't we come up with a few ideas for places to go, when we want to go, do we want to camp out, etc. and someone can put up a poll and we'll decide by vote. How does that sound to everyone?

I vote to camp out. My tent is big enough to share with another woman if any women would be coming alone. There should be campgrounds around that have cabins/cottages to rent to for those that don't want to camp but I know those can be kinda pricy.

Any other ideas?

I am trying

Hello. I use a computer most everyday at work but am limited in what I can do. This is my second attempt to become active on a forum. I live in Blount county, Alabama and would be interested in meeting, talking with others. Now lets see if this worked.
