I've seen several episodes. IMHO it seems that the storyline is the same, with little or no change, with different characters each time, so for me at least, it got boring fast.

To the show's defense, for me it's no different than the Kardhoweveryousaytheirnames or some of the other glam reality shows.

I do like the Duggars, they reveal stories about themselves. I used to like the Goslins, but they have grown tiresome too since leaving the baby/toddler stage.

My fav reality show is IRT, but that's just because I drive a big truck.

FWIW, if the gypsies would reveal more about day to day life it would become a more interesting show.

I watched it a few times. The dresses ARE amazing. But I agree with Kenworth, same story, same ol same ol... just diffrent people and diffrent color dresses. It isn't something I could watch regularly.

most attractive british women i've ever seen. kills me with the incongruity of the ----ty skimpy clothes but the high moral standards regarding sex.

The weddings and dresses are over the top! But it does seem to be the same stuff over and over. Haven't seen it for a while.

I am addicted to the Real Housewives though...just like watching a train wreck every week.

That show is like a train wreck. I want to stop watching it, but I can't!
It's soooooo trashy!
I feel horribly mad and frustrated about the life that they teach their girls to live though. Getting married after 17 is considered old. Girls are lucky to get to stay in school until they are 12. Not allowed to work. Super sexualized outfits and drinking for little girls communions?
And the whole kissing ritual thing at weddings? Boys chase and hold down girls to try and get a kiss? geez.
But, I can't stop watching it!
This is why I need to get rid of my T.V.!!!!

The girls dress sexy before they get married to attract a man. You did not see to many of the married women dressing sexy. Communions, weddings, and the "find a mate" years are the only times the women get to really show off, so they go big, they go over the top, they want their moment to be a star, and the community supports them and helps them have their glory.

The show is the same old, same old, but every episode reveals something about the culture.

There is nothing wrong with getting married at 17. A lot of the jews here in new york get married young also, and for them, if you are not married with a few kids by age 22 you are an old maid.

The gypsie gender roles are very traditional. Biologically getting married and having babies young is natures way.

The kissing game is a mating ritual, it is just part of the culture.

Well, I feel, that least these people know who they are, where they come from, what they believe, where they belong, and they have shared culture. Most of have none of that.

Strawhouse, I had no idea this show was around. I got rid of my tv in early spring and I have not watched tv since then. My apartment was flooded so i am sleeping at my parents and watching their tv. In the short time that I have tuned out, Tv has really morphed into some strange stuff.

Citybound, not saying there is anything wrong with marrying young and having children, I'm saying it's a shame it's their only choice in life.
And I think any ritual that has boys literally running up, grabbing and carrying a girl into an alley who is screaming NO and forcing themselves upon her, even if it is just a "kiss", is wrong. (the kisses they show are certainly more that just a peck.)

TV is certainly a strange thing now, your right! We got rid of our satelitte a few years ago, just had "bush cable", antenaa. We got 2 fuzzy channels. I loved it.
But when I was due with my second baby last winter, my parents thought a great Christmas gift would be to get satelitte TV back for us. They thought I needed something to do while breastfeeding!

I used to love Discovery, History, other learning channels like that. There just seems to be a lot of junk on those channels now! And junk on all the other chanells.

I do have to say, I will keep my TV for one reason. Doctor Who.
