don't really know about this brand of stove...but..make sure it does have an ash pan for removing the ashes. There is nothing worse than having to let your fire die out in the middle of winter to clean out the bottom of the stove for a pile of ashes. And..check to see what length logs it will take. ..the bigger the better. Good Luck...

I have an older Buck freestanding/insert. I am using it as an insert into the fireplace and love it. Not sure about the new ones, but Buck has been around for a long time.

I do not have a Buck, but I know several people who have and some who still do. I have not heard of any of them saying anything but complimentary about their stoves. Different Models, Different Styles. I had started out to buy a Buck, but got hooked into a Jotul instead about 20 years ago. Still using it to heat my house.

I also have a Buck freestanding/insert stove used as insert in our fireplace. It has been heating our home for 25 years.

The only thing I've had to do to it is replace the asbestos seals around the doors and replace a glass in one door that I broke.

We love ours, it's paid for it's self many times over in the savings on the cost of propane.

Yes, we have a Buck fireplace insert. It's one of the larger ones. This will be our 6th year to use it. It is wonderful! We have 2350 sq ft in our house and it will heat the whole house unless it drops down real low, then we have the central heat set to kick on. It was not cheap, but it's more than paid for itself. We chose Buck because they're the only local dealer near us, but it's served us well. If you'd like to know more about the model number, etc., I can ask DH later.

We have two Buck stoves in our house that we bought out in the country and had moved into town. We love them, they kept us warm all winter. One blows the hot air, one does not. We had great advice when we called the company for some help, they were wonderful to give advice and tell us what we needed.Maybe this link will work and you can see the ones we have.....we are still working on this house..
