That is one AWESOME chicken coop. Did you build it yourself?

Great photos! We just got back from a trip to Maine. Some of the prettiest gardens (some huge) were in the Adirondack area. We saw lots of well stocked road-side stands through that area too.

That was beautiful, did you spray your apples? Mine are all bug eaten. I tried some organic spray, still bug eaten. Those apples look great

I also lusted after that coop, wow, the tin roof and even the windows had screening, dare I ask the price range?, is it someone local?

Your potatoes look great and I liked the "bucket" you put them in also, lol.

You will be warm and well fed, Ernie would be proud of you with those potatoes.

Thanks for sharing your homestead pictures!

I love the wood stack. Nothing makes me feel as good as seeing a well stacked bunch-o wood.

Thanks.

Usedtobecool, no I didn't spray those apples at all, I did prune them in Dec. and added bees this year...maybe that helped, IDK. If they get bug eaten they go into the cider press anyway.

7thswan, I don't know whats usual anymore, LOL. We did get flooding rains in the spring, mostly because of all the snow we had in winter. When those mountains melted it was quite a scene. I'm 'up' a little bit in elevation ( not too high ) but some of the unfortunate people at the bottom of the hill, near the lakes, got flooded out.

Love the pics Kirk! We'd love to come see it in person. We're down in the Lake George area. I'll have to post a pic of my 5' tall yellow squash! Are you having any problems with your tomatoes? We've had some early blight.

Cindy, your welcome anytime! Would love to see the yellow squash. I did not plant tomatoes this year...I did purposefully choose blight resistant varieties of potatoes because 2 years ago I lost all my tomatoes and potatoes to blight.

It seemed to work, because some others had it but I didn't. This year wasn't as bad for blight as '09, as you probably remember.
