New fireplace (pics)

We decided on a Lopi gas fireplace. It has a battery pack that will light the pilot if the power goes out. Btu's 46,700. The guy did a great job with building a cabinet around it..very nice workmanship..up and beyond what we were expecting.
I had the horses sandblasted into the tile for a special touch
Between this and my new truck tires I am really looking forward to winter!!

The fireplace looks wonderful. We spray painted our vent covers with DeRusto paint.

Maybe not a dark brown but something like a tan or medium beige might make them blend in a little better with everything else. I really did not notice tham until you said something....that neat fireplace caught and kept my eye.

Isn't it weird that we "see" things in pictures we don't notice otherwise.
Often I see a picture of something in my house and think "how did I never notice that"
I am getting my house ready to sell next spring so I should photograph each area to see what the photo shows.

They do make really nice looking wooden ones. You could stain them to match the wood on the walls/floors to have them blend in, or a stain that would match the color wall, perhaps.

You could ALSO just paint the current ones with a woodgrain technique. worth the attempt since you're going to replace them anyway. Might save some money and haave another "I made that!"...hmm. might be possible to make them look like the tiles....

anyway. Great looking fireplace. I can see it with a lovely hearth rug and a pair of chairs....cup of hot chocolate...mmmMMMmmm
