PNW HT Gathering

I've seen a lot of folks on her that are in the Pacific Northwest and got to thinking that we should have a get together - why let all those folks "back east" have all the fun.

I'm thinking something simple - picnic at a park type thing. Maybe in the general vicinity of Portland? (I'm 97 miles south of PDX)

Anyone else interested?

More like which side of I-5.

East of I-5, near the intersection of 34/20

Maybe you could organize one for folks in the SW - that would be closer to you.

I know there are at least a couple dozen or more folks along the I-5 corridor between Eugene and Seattle, and a bunch more over on the east sides of WA & OR. Shoot I could host one just for folks in Lane, Linn, Benton & Marion counties and have dozen or more show up.

Ahh, lucky you. There are a few houses that face the Columbia that seem to always be in the shade. It's cool enough here I can't imagine getting no sun to boot.

I guess this means I won't be able to send you guys flashlight messages in a SHTF event...lol

I'm a bit south and east of Salem too... and would love to be part of a get together! Maybe mid to late August? That gives us all a few weeks to put it together...

I don't know the area well enough to suggest a decent spot myself. I'd think somewhere near water or trees would be good, since we closing in on the 3 weeks of summer for the area...lol

There's a park in Oregon City I believe on the water. Willamette Park I think?
