I think we should offer an alternate place to post the type of fiction there.

I didn't see the post by Frugal, but saw in the computer sub-forum that weaver said it was closed and not open to discussion...don't you love how they scream liberty and then do something like that without an explanation...it's their way or the highway...
I bet some of the writers are upset...as a reader I am extremely upset. The only reason I can see them closing it down would be if it put them in a position of major liability, but you'd think they could at least say something to that effect without going into detail.

What I am wondering is if the people posting stories over there arfe going to be able to get their stories back or if they are dead in the water. Didn't the forum over there also have pm capabilities at one point?

Fortunately I have a few of the stories open on my computer and have saved a couple to read while I was on the road. It would be nice if they would offer up an explanation as to what happened.

He did offer an explanation finally...He said it is a business and we can go pound salt. And here I thought he was really into helping people prepare while hoping our country would get back on its feet. Dumb me!

AngieM2,

I wonder if new stories would be acceptable here somewhere? I have been kicking around a few story ideas with Frugal's in mind. I was quite disappointed that the section there is gone.

The crowd here seems more friendly to me, a kinder, gentler sort, if you will, and probably better suited to my taste in fiction. I use fiction as a way to stimulate my thinking about our economic future, and what it may hold for us. I would be glad to share that at some point.

I read one or two all the way thru. Most of them I only read a few pages. Didn't even notice it was gone. LOL I believe most of the writers also post their stories on other sites.

Several of the writers have posted their stories on tb2k. If you go to members stories, (you don't have to be a member to go there) you will find a post that has Kathy in Florida blog and where Grand has Second Chance. TOM and scrachline are there also. Mods, if I wasn't suppose to put the other forum name, please delete.

I tried to register at TB2K, and got nowhere. I guess they are swamped now.

I believe Kathy posts her stories at Zombie Squad too. Hers are the only ones I've finished, btw. (I mean the ones she has finished too. I hate to start something and discover the author is still working on it.)

I can make a wild guess as to why Frugal's shut down the stories. Mind, I do not read the stories there, so I do not know.

Every host has its standards, and Frugals must follow those standards. One thing that a moderator does is to read posts that are likely to violate host standards, and stop it.

I imagine that there were a lot of stories to read, and that too many of them did not follow the host's standards. And, Frugal got tired of reasing too many stories, too many of which might have stepped over the host companies standards. He has a business to run and a family, and it might have been too time consuming. YUes, there are probably other moderators, but that also means time for Frugal to supervise the moderators under him.

I am just guessing, here, and I do not knwo for sure!
