major scores today!!

well, yesterday really, but wow! the ppl who manage the lodge I work at called, and said they remembered I was bummed at not getting the large dog kennel that had been there, and last fall got knocked over by a tornado. said the guy who was going to get it never paid, or bothered to try to pick it up, so if I want it, come get it, free! its a huge, 4 stall dog kennel with good doors, etc., chain link with pipes. woohoo!

then, as we're disassembling it to haul it home, got a call from a guy who works for a ranch nearby...

after working the herd, found one calf who'd lost his mom long enough that he wasn't going to try to get them back together, calf already been castrated, shots, etc., and gosh, I am selling all my baby goats this weekend or monday, so i'll have gobs of extra milk and this calf came along! wahooo! then to add to that fortune, the calf won't even cost us a dime!!!!

dang, ain't this top notch luck!???

I agree those are great scores.
But I am also amazed that this is one of the few places where everyone congratulates someone for getting extra work. LOL I think it is because we here can see the rewards from these scores. Continued Good Luck! JLP

thanks, I'm saying a few thanks about for sure. the guy came for the goats, the calf is looking better already (he's a bit rough, lost his mom and it took a few days for him to be found).

this is one of those wierd things, I really wanted a calf soon, but didn't have the money to buy one, and that kennel has been something we've needed for a while. so *just* as I wanted it most, poof, here it is!
