Smile We have a closing date~

Looks like the sale of my home will close on June 29th. Then I think it takes ten business days for the check to clear before I can get on my way. The whole process has be a bit nuts, but we are paring down as best we can...taking no furniture etc. The weight problem I have is taking all of my semi precious stones! There must be a thousand pounds of them and the big drill press is also very heavy. Only two boxes of books, pots pans, dishes, linens, tv, computers, and some other tools like the saws etc. I am planning on taking my big coffee table which is also very heavy if it will fit in the trailer. I am looking for a 10 x5 uhaul but so far no luck. May have to go one size bigger? Am also trying to figure out what to do and where to do it when I get to Tucson. Should I get a storage room and stick everything in there or try to rent a small apartment in advance and use that as my base of operations while I try to find a small house I can afford...so many details to worry about. sisterpine

I'm happy for you as I know you've really been wanting to get your home sold . I would like to see a picture or two of the place you're selling . Living at 6,500 feet I believe you said & being pretty rural and all I find interesting . Just curious , do you have family in Tucson ? If not how did you you pick Tuscon as a place to move to ? I think I have read most of your threads but may have missed why you are moving .

I am very happy for you as well.

I know you will be sad to part with it. All the work you do was amazing. I know as I was one of the few that saw it in person.
Life should be a bit easier for you and just think of the things you can accomplish with all the time you won't spend going up and down that mountain and preparing for winter.
