making shampoo

[SIZE=2] Hi
[COLOR=RoyalBlue]I am looking for a recipe for making your own shampoo and maybe conditioner. I have just read an article on the chemicals in these products and thought that I would see if you could make your own.

Do a search for Miracle II soap, this is the most amazing stuff I've ever encountered. I also make laundry soap from Fels Naptha, washing soda and Borax.

Sham poo

Faux---fake.

Sham---something that is not what it purport to be, imposter, hoax.

Why do we not use real poo instead of sham-poo? <grin>

Real poo works great for removing gray streaks.

Here's one I've used and liked-
Chamomile shampoo(from PioneerThinking.com)
Ingredients:
4 bags of Chamomile tea (or 1 handful of fresh Chamomile flowers)
4 tablespoons pure soap flakes (I grate up a bar of Ivory)
1 1/2 tablespoons glycerin
Directions:
Let the tea bags steep in 1 1/2 cups of boiled water for 10 minutes. Remove the tea bags and with the remaining liquid add the soap flakes. Let stand until the soap softens. Stir in glycerin until mixture is well blended. Pour into a bottle. Keep in a dark, cool place.

I've also used eggs, olive oil, hyd.puroxide(from $1 store) and apple cider vinegar.

Smile

My wife is a soapmaker and I just use her lavender soap. Works great!

I also use it for shaving too.
