June Snow

I hate June snow. Not that June snow is very uncommon where I live, I just don't like it at all. Woke up this morning to see it snowing heavily with about 3 inches already on the ground. DD is supposed to drive down the montain to the Dentist at 10 am but it now looks like I am driving her as she has no experience in snow on the mountain roads. At least we can still work in the green house I guess, though our eagerness to be outside has dimmed considerably! Sisterpine

June snowfall

June Snow - Homesteading Questions

This photo shows June 7th snowfall, the only June snow I've ever seen. The snow was falling so hard on our way to Crater Lake that park staff said they weren't sure if we would be able to make it to the crater from the park entrance.

4th of July is usually our last snow.

I've got a lot of plant starts I'd like to put out, but it is still freezing at night.

I don't get the 110 degree summer days that you get, though. If it gets up into the 90's, we all think we are going to die of heat stroke.

LOL I would send to the arizona fires if I could. Turned out there was a great big tree down across the road so we had to go the long way which had a huge rock that had fallen down into the road. Fortunately we were able to squeeze by the rock cause there was no way we were getting by the tree. A neighbor went down and chopped up the tree for firewood while we were gone. sisterpine
