cooking dried hominy?

so there was a thread about Hominy a few weeks back and making grits out of it... i have a related question. i purchased some dried hominy at the Amish bulk store, so how do i cook it? the clerk said slow cooker overnight but how much water do we add?... the best advice from google said soak and cook like beans? but for how long? anyone have any recipes or suggestions? we are not interested in making pozole, just want to have a nice breakfast food.

Soak it in warm water over night.. It will swell up and will be ready to cook as you like. I use a slow cooker to hydrate the dyed hominy..In the slow cooker i cover with water then add about 3 inches more.. I set the cooker on low over night. I like my hominy fried until its nice and brown. P s lol Hominy will jump around in the skillet if you try it fried keep a lid handy.
