Rain much?

I got a horse on the 5th of this month. I ran about half a tank of water in a 100 gallon stock tank. There is no other source of water in the pasture. I have not added a drop of water to the tank and there is now more water in the tank than on the day I got the horse..........

Tink,

Does your "horse" have one or two humps on it's back?

Since we are close we get the same weather. It rained most of friday and saturday and today is very humid. I put the roof on the chicken coop on thursday so I have been working inside during the rain. I need to get it done so I can get the chickens out of the spare bedroom.

Congratulations on getting the horse. Have lots of fun riding him/her.

To be fair, the grass is lush and usually covered with dew or rain. I would imagine that most of her water needs are met just through grazing.

I wish I could give you 50% of my rain. I bet it's rained here 75 of the last 80 days.

Can you say "MUD"? x 100???

I have paddocks that look like chocolate pudding. The horses are willing to run through a very HOT wire to get to lush grass.

I'm so done with the rain....

We had the rainest April ever.

May is not far behind. My fields are not tiled and they are still too wet to plow. Garden is not all in yet, Way too much water.

April set a record here too, and May seems no better. Yesterday was periods of heavy rain and hail. This morning we got rain and more is forecast into midweek.

I am starting to look forward to our traditional July-August drought.
