watermelon?

Im trying to figure out if i can plant two differnt vareitys of watermelon in my garden and not worry about cross pollination i want to plant moon and star and crimson sweet. i might have this in the wrong area.

It would be fine this year. The only trouble you would have is if you saved seed to grow next year...that might be a cross.

mammabooh is right, unless you plan on saving seeds your fine. plant them

I think I'd try to plant them as far apart as possible-

I've got mine planted about 50' apart. Possibly not enough for saving seeds, but we'll see (next year)

im going to need to fertilize.. how should i do this and what should i use im going to sell the watermelons but id like to keep it to natural fertilizers. and cheaply.

Each hill of 3 Crimson Sweets got 2 gallons of aged horse manure mixed with about the same amount of shredded oak and maple leaves. That's the only fertilizer mine will be feeding from.
