I just use a laundry pre-treat spray, like shout.

Rubbing liquid laundry detergent directly on the stain will do it usually, also,

Seems to work.

My DH has this industrial handcleaner for getting of grease on hands, I think it's green, and that works a charm. So something like that would be good. I've used it on jeans plenty of times.

Diesel stains are an almost daily occurence here. The orange hand cleaners work fairly well, but lately I use a mixture of Dawn dish soap, Biz, and hot water mixed together and scrubbed in with a soft brush. Let it sit on the stains for a half hour or so and launder in hot water. This has removed diesel and black grease from our semi's. It has also removed set-in grease stains after 2 or 3 treatments. Best mixture I've found yet, a friend told me about it after she read about it somewhere.

Spray on some WD40 to remove any oily stains.

I always put Simple Green in the wash. If it's a bad stain, I soak it in SG first.
