also check out how he raises guinea pigs for food. If rabbit, why not guinea pig. Both are cute.

The reason we have the variety of guinea pigs that we do today is because they were raised as a food source in South America. I've thought about it.

I just can't see eating either rabbits or guinea pigs... I guess that I have a prejudice about eating something that I've always thought of as a big rodent. (I know that they aren't really rodents now, but I just cannot shake those old feelings.) I know that lots of folks here at HT do eat rabbits, at least. I guess I've just never been hungry enough to do it. Now in a true emergency situation, I'd probably be looking for that hassenpfeffer recipe from the old Bugs Bunny cartoons.

Not much meat on a squirrel or pigeon either but people still eat them.
