Its a bit pricey 6.xx, but works. I wish there were a cheaper alternative, then again, cheap may not be good....

What makes it so much better?

I have limited experience with caulk, but it's such a pain that if this is easier to use or lasts longer I'll definitely give it a go.

What about stovepipe?

Googled up, and got this: http://www.roofingcontractor.com/Art...100000f932a8c0____

I was thinking a silicon caulk was what I needed, have a new roof that wasn't completed properly for the stovepipe that came out over too many angles for the regular flashing. "Oh, it don't matter..." the family worker sez, except this winter I had ceiling damage.

Anybody use this in a "hot spot"?

We have used it to patch shingle work, to piece a patch in a metal roof and with board to board contact.
It comes in a tube like regular caulk and you can find it at lumber yards, sometimes Lowes.

When this product "dries", does it shrink?

I discovered silicone caulking is useless in some areas, even black roofing tar needs several applications because it seeps and/or shrinks a bit.

For those who have used this product:

How would this compare with a polyurethane caulk?

Is this only for roofing or should it also be used in other areas?

Thanks
